The curator Diána Popova was born in 1987 in Riga. She studied humanities from 2009 - 2011 with an emphasis on journalism at the University of Latvia, and afterwards she initially worked as a freelance journalist for "Veto Magazine."
Diana Popova has been working as a project manager, producer, exhibition coordinator, and curator at the Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art (LCCA) since 2014. In addition, she has worked at, among other institutions, LCCA Office Gallery as an exhibition coordinator, and as project manager for the art festival Survival Kit, where she had already been responsible for coordinating the volunteer program for the festival in the years before that. She has worked as a project manager for, among others, the opening ceremony of the "Capital of Culture Riga 2014," and for the "Summer Festival in Miera Street" in 2012.
Diana Popova is part of Galerie Gedok's curator exchange program and she will be involved there in an exhibition project.
